Computer Engineering - University of Pisa

๐Ÿ“„ Required Documents for Admission (Foreign Applicants)

When applying online (often via the applymscenglish.unipi.it portal for international applicants), you must include the following in PDF format:

  1. Declaration of English Knowledge

    • Specify how long you studied English

    • And whether you have a certificate (IELTS, TOEFL, etc.)

    • You can also upload a certificate if available

  2. Degree Certificate (Bachelorโ€™s diploma)

    • Must show that your degree is at least three years in duration

  3. Academic Transcripts

    • Full list of courses and grades

    • Ideally translated to English or Italian

  4. Copy of Your Valid Passport

    • Used to identify you in the application

  5. Curriculum Vitae et Studiorum (CV)

    • Your academic background and any relevant experience

๐Ÿ“Œ Optional (But Recommended) Documents

These can help strengthen your application (and may be required depending on the call):

  • Letters of reference / recommendation

  • Other certificates (e.g., language tests, professional certificates)

  • Thesis or samples of academic work (if requested)

  • List of publications or awards

Universities sometimes ask you to provide referencesโ€™ contact info so they can submit recommendations directly.

๐Ÿ“ Application Portal & Process Notes

  • You upload these documents during your online application through the official portal.

  • Missing documents may make your application invalid or rejected.

  • Applications usually have a strict deadline and documents cannot be added after submission.

  • EU and non-EU citizens follow slightly different enrollment portals but the document list is essentially the same.

๐Ÿง  Language Requirements

  • Although a B2 English certificate is recommended, what matters is the declaration of English ability and potentially interview verification โ€” but if you include a certificate thatโ€™s better.
